[ If you’re someone who likes to take ownership and figure things out, TAIMATSU is a great environment ]
I came across TAIMATSU at the GaijinPot Expo and immediately connected with the role. I’ve always liked detail-oriented work, so the logistics and compliance side really interested me. And after talking with the team, it felt like a genuine fit rather than just a job opening.
[I felt TAIMATSU would give me the chance to understand actual business challenges]
I was interested in the opportunity to work closely with the business side while using technology to improve real operations. Rather than only building systems based on fixed requirements, I felt TAIMATSU would give me the chance to understand actual business challenges, discuss them with different teams, and help turn those ideas into practical solutions. I was also excited by the opportunity to work with a global team. Being able to collaborate across different backgrounds and perspectives was one of the things that made the role especially appealing to me.
[I think what surprised me the most about TAIMATSU is the people working here]
I first heard about TAIMATSU in November 2025 as I participated in the GajinPot fair job. What really struck me was how well the company was presented compared to other companies. I have a master's degree in arts and cultural management, and I used to be a manager at my old job. Japanese knives are definitely a part of Japan’s cultural heritage, and I couldn’t wait to use my knowledge in art marketing to promote them, especially since I would have used the concept of art infusion which, at least in Korea where I lived for 5 years, has proven to be a very efficient marketing strategy.
[The main reason I decided to join was the feeling that I would be able to take on many different challenges here]
After graduating from Waseda University, I joined TAIMATSU as a new graduate. During my job search, what I valued most was finding a company where I could grow the most and feel a sense of purpose in my work. I remember feeling incredibly excited when I first encountered TAIMATSU. At the time, TAIMATSU was in its first year of establishment, and many aspects of its foundation and systems were not yet fully established. However, I found that to be a major appeal. Instead of joining an already established environment, the prospect of directly contributing to the company's growth and system building filled me with great anticipation. The thought that "here, I'd be able to challenge myself with many different things" was a major reason I decided to join.
