The Journey Here
What motivated you to start working at TAIMATSU?
I was looking for an opportunity to leverage my background while also venturing into new fields. I was particularly drawn to the CEO's energetic personality, which led me to join the company.
Life at Taimatsu
What is the most memorable experience you have had in this job?

This was a regular meeting. I've only ever worked for what I'd call 'quintessentially Japanese' companies, so a meeting where English and Japanese were spoken interchangeably was incredibly refreshing.

What Surprised Me
In what ways do you feel you have grown the most through your work?
My daily work allows me to feel a sense of growth. Retail, inbound tourism, and overseas store expansion are all new areas for me. Even with my limited English skills, I've gradually come to understand the content of our communications, which has further fueled my desire for improvement. I've steadily acquired knowledge, and I feel I'm now able to delve into topics at a more advanced level than when I first joined the company.
Beyond the Role
What experience are you most proud of?

We've successfully completed our financial closing.
Accounting might seem a bit mundane, but at TAIMATSU, new projects are always on the horizon, so our accounting department might be a little different from what you typically imagine.
If You're Thinking of Joining
What message would you like to share with people considering joining the company?

Even if you're not fluent in English, as long as you're willing to listen and try, you'll be able to manage. It's a flexible workplace that offers opportunities for growth. Additionally, with opportunities for employee interaction like BBQs and watching soccer, it's a very friendly and welcoming workplace.

About you
Could you tell us about your background and where you are from?
I have nearly 10 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience, gained through my work at medical corporations and accounting firms. I also spent two months studying English in New Zealand.
Outside the work
What do you enjoy doing outside of work, and do you have any favorite places you often visit?

I enjoy kimono dressing, learning languages, working out, and gaming. My favorite places are New Zealand and home.
