What motivated you to start working at TAIMATSU?

I've long been interested in traditional Japanese crafts, and encountering TAIMATSU's craftsmanship and brand appeal through its stores and website was what prompted me to join the company.

What is the most memorable experience you have had in this job?

Through daily interaction with the products, I've been particularly impressed by the opportunity to learn about the craftsmanship and traditions behind each item, including the different knife-making techniques, patterns, and handle designs. This work has allowed me to deepen my knowledge of Japanese traditional crafts, making it a truly invaluable experience.

Day to day

What does a typical day look like for you?

09:00

I start my day by arriving at the office and confirming the day's shooting schedule and requirements.After that, I prepare and organize my camera equipment and set up everything needed for the shoot.

Until lunch break, I focus on photography and visual content creation.

Around 1 o'clock, I take a one-hour lunch break.

After lunch, I review the photos and videos from the shoot, select the best shots, and begin editing. I adjust colors, lighting, and details to enhance the quality of the images and videos.

I organize the files, review the progress, and communicate with the team to make sure the content matches the project's goals.

18:00

I finalize the editing work, prepare the completed materials, and organize my equipment for the next shooting day. I finish my work and wrap up the day.

What Surprised Me

In what ways do you feel you have grown the most through your work?

Working closely with everyone to analyze and exchange ideas about the project, I learned the importance of team collaboration in moving our work forward. I particularly feel that my ability to communicate and engage effectively with those around me has grown.

Beyond the Role

What experience are you most proud of?

I felt incredibly proud when the projects I was involved in creating were released as company promotional content. It was also incredibly rewarding to know that they would be seen by so many people.
